Admission

The Academic Session is counted form July to June .On-line admission commences immediately after the publication of results as per notified procedure and schedule. Cost of e-forms and prospectus is Rs.100/-, The college will not be responsible for the subsequent cancellation of the admission due to suppression or misstatement of facts by the students at the time of the admission. Applicants are advised to go through the admission regulations framed by Calcutta University. Contact College office (Help Desk) for internet facility,registration,documentation and other assistance at free of cost.

Eligibility for admission (as per relevant CRS No.54/09 & 123/2010 for BA/BSc and 98/2010 for B.Com issued by Calcutta University)

1.Degree Course in Commerce

i) For admission in B.Com(General)course,the candidate must have passed the H.S Exam.(+2 course)conducted by the W.B.C. for H.S. Education, or an equivalent exam recognized as such by the Calcutta University, with

a) English as one main subject of full Marks not less than 100 and

b) Commerce subject like Accountancy/Business Organization /B.E.B.M/or commerce related subject like Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Commerce/Book keeping/Business Studies/Cost accountancy, Principles of Mgt./Accounts/Financial accounting/Office & secretarial practice; as two main subjects.

i) For admission in B.Com(Hons.)Course, the Candidate must have obtained:-

a) A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate with 45% mark in any of the Commerce or Commerce related subject or

b) A minimum of 55% marks in any of the commerce or commerce related subject.

2. Degree Course in Arts and Science:-

i) For admission in B.A,B.Sc.(General)courses, the candidate must have passed the H.S Exam.(+2 course)conducted by the W.B.C. for H.S. Education , or an equivalent exam recognized as such by the Calcutta University, with English as one main subject of Full Marks 100.

ii) For admission in the B.A,B.Sc(Hons.) course; the candidate must have obtained:-

a) A minimum of 50%marks in the aggregate with 45% mark in the subject in which Hons.is sought or

b) A minimum of 55%mark in the subject in which Hons.is sought or

c) A minimum of 50%mark in the aggregate when the candidate take up Hons. in the subject not included in his/her previous qualifying exam, provided all other clauses are satisfied.

Candidate belonging to the Scheduled Cast or Scheduled Tribe Communities taking up Hons must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subjects or related subjects at the previous qualifying exam.

Note:-i) Percentage of marks will be calculated with reference to TOP FOUR subject. (Excluding Environmental Education/studies).

ii) Seat are reserved for SC,ST,OBC-AOBC-B,PH,as per Govt.rules

3. For admission in B.A,B.Sc.(Hons and General) courses of studies a candidate is to choose his/her Honors subject and two/three elective subject as the case may be from among Group I to VII by taking not more than one subjects from any of the groups mentioned here under.

     Group-I : Physics, Education
    Group-II : History, Mathematics.
    Group-III : Sanskrit, Chemistry (Proposed)
    Group-III : Economics
    Group-IV : Political Science.
    Group-VI : English.
    Group-VII : Computer Science, Bengali.
4. Subject to the grouping of subject as mentioned above, a candidate taking up honors in B.A degree course or honors in B.Sc. degree course shall study. B.A. honors in any one subject of the humanities division and any other two subject in the general course taking at least one form the humanities division.
                                                                                                              OR
B.Sc Honors in any one subject from the division of science /Home Science and any other two subjects in general Courses taking at last one from the Science/Home Science Division as the case may be.

5. For admission in B.Sc(Major)course in Computer Application ,candidate must obtain a minimum of 45% marks,(40% for SC and ST)and take two non-major subject taking at least one from Science or Home-Science division.
