About IQAC

The Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) was established in the college on 28.1.2013. As per the NAAC recommendations and guideline the IQAC prepares roadmap for the overall development of the college. It monitors augmentation, expansion and maintenance of academic and infrastructural resources, ensures quality of teaching, learning and evaluation. It identifies areas with scope for improvement and provides suggestions and recommendations. With the help of the UGC

grant the IQAC has helped the institution procure computers, laptops, printers, ICT resources, other  electronic equipment and furniture. Fund is available for any further infrastructural support if required. Dr Shinjini Basu is the present coordinator of the IQAC. The IQAC works in close coordination with different sub-committees, the Teachers’ Council and the Students’ Union. With active help from the administration the Cell fulfils its following functions:

  • Chalks out a plan of action at the beginning of the Academic Year.
  • At the end of the year reviews what it has achieved and prepares an Action Taken report.
  • Prepares Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR).
  • Conducts periodic meetings with all stakeholders – teachers, students and non-teaching staff to understand and assess their requirements and make specific recommendations to the administration.
  • Organizes discussions and work-shops on various academic and administrative matters.
  • Takes specific initiatives for quality enhancement such as teachers’ training for ICT utilization, issue of pen-drive to individual teachers, introduction of PA system, laptop, projector, electrical installation for power point presentation of lectures.
  • Receives and collates feedback from different stakeholders.
